The Georgian Military Highway climbs out of Tbilisi through Mtskheta, stone watchtowers and deep river gorges before the Caucasus suddenly fills the windshield. In Stepantsminda, Gergeti Trinity Church sits above the valley with Mount Kazbek behind it.
